Corey McPherson is an entrepreneur, educator and community advocate known for his commitment to positive social impact and his expertise in business management and strategy. 

Corey is the co-founder and co-CEO of Local Urban Bites (2016), a local meal kit delivery company situated in Victoria, BC. In 2019, he co-founded QChat Support Association, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing peer support and improved access to community resources for LGBTQ2S+ youth in BC. 

Currently pursuing a PhD in the Sustainability Management program at the University of Waterloo, Corey is also a term instructor at Camosun College, and a teaching assistant and researcher at the University of Waterloo focusing on municipal climate change mitigation. 

Corey enjoys hiking the many trails on Vancouver Island with his dog, Charlie, going to the gym, travelling and hosting dinner parties with family and friends.

Experience

Corey is currently a term instructor at Camosun College, and a teaching assistant and researcher at the University of Waterloo, focusing on municipal climate change mitigation. 

His educational contributions cover a wide spectrum, from teaching management, strategy and applied business projects courses to the intricacies of managerial and financial accounting. 

Currently pursuing a PhD in the Sustainability Management program at the University of Waterloo, Corey also possesses a Master of Environment and Business from the same institution, along with a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University.
