Alice Cullingford is a specialist in hegemonic human relations issues and associate faculty member in the Disaster and Emergency Management program. She has been in the fire and emergency services field for over twenty years and has significant consultant experience in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as employee engagement, attraction, retention and succession planning in the public and private sector. She is passionate about her work with First Nations communities using inclusive participatory processes to provide training and implementation of fire protection programs.
Experience
Cullingford recently authored a strategy toolkit for fire departments to create a more inclusive workplace for underrepresented groups and individuals. She is also a member of several equity advisory committees addressing systemic barriers in employment and identifying priorities for improving workplace inclusion.
