RRU in the Media: Canada should prepare for all eventualities (Op-ed)

In his most recent opinion piece for The Globe and Mail, Thomas Homer-Dixon, executive director and founder of The Cascade Institute at Royal Roads, says that the time has come to take President Trump’s talk about annexing Canada at face value and we ignore the threats at our peril.
He goes on to frame how perspectives are shifting in this excerpt:
“Similarly, until a couple of weeks ago, any suggestion that the United States would use military force against Canada was derided as ridiculous. And anyway, commentators argued, Canada can’t be militarily defended, because our population is strung out in a thin line along America’s northern border.
But those perspectives are shifting fast…Other scholars are now seriously addressing the possibility of war.”
