Here's where Royal Roads made headlines this week: 

• Indigenous Cultural Liaison Diane Sam was quoted in a CTV story about the 2026 National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations at Royal Roads Colwood Campus. 
• A partnership between Royal Roads University and British Columbia Institute of Technology to offer new two-way education pathways was covered by Times Colonist, CTV, CHEK, Goldstream Gazette, Education News Canada and Island Social Trends. 
•  Cascade Institute Polycrisis Fellow Christopher Collins wrote an article for Barron’s about new changes to stock index rules which could leave ordinary investors stuck holding overpriced stocks after early investors cash out (RRU Library login required). 

• Journal of Commerce reports on the new Climate Change Resilience for Building Sector Professionals course delivered by Climate Risk Institute in partnership with Professional and Continuing Studies at Royal Roads.  

• RRU honorary degree recipient, master carver Carey Newman was featured in a Times Colonist story about his work with two other researchers to create a robot that can help carve a totem pole.
