Here's where Royal Roads made headlines this week: 

  • The Royal Roads University campus was one of two Canadian universities named in “the 39 most stunning college campuses in the world” list by House Beautiful.   

  • Brian White, professor of Tourism and Hospitality Management, spoke at a City of Colwood council meeting about Vancouver Island’s vulnerable food supply chain, advocating for two new planned community gardens, quoted by the Goldstream Gazette.  

  • Master of Business Administration alum Scott Salmond, senior vice-president of high performance and hockey operations for Hockey Canada, was featured in the Times Colonist on opening the first Hockey Canada Development Hub at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre. 

  • Christopher Collins, polycrisis fellow at the Cascade Institute, co-wrote an opinion piece for Barron’s advocating for a “Defence, Security and Resilience Bank” to protect against geopolitical threats.  

  • RRU is part of a unique partnership between clean energy leaders, researchers, the provincial government and multiple First Nations to accelerate Indigenous energy sovereignty and advance equitable clean energy development, as featured in Education News Canada.
