Philip Steenkamp: Tips and advice from Royal Roads students

September has always felt like the real start of the year for me. While students at Royal Roads study on campus and online year-round, there’s something special about back-to-school season.

Connecting with students is one of the most rewarding parts of our work. This week, I took a walk around campus to chat with some of our remarkable students. Along the way, I had the pleasure of meeting Marilyn Licudan (Master of Global Management), Dannie Wang (Master of Arts in Intercultural and International Communication), Agrim Banerjee (Master of Arts in Tourism Management), and Jema Wilshaw (Master of Arts in Intercultural and International Communication). Their insights and advice for both new and returning students were invaluable, and I couldn't resist sharing one of my own.
