Royal Roads University has launched Canada's deepest education tuition discount, available to more than 34,000 alumni. The 50 per cent discount on tuition for non-credit Professional and Continuing Studies courses enables alumni to enhance skills, maintain professional designations, and stay ahead in today’s dynamic job market.

“As Canada’s university for changemakers, we are committed to providing transformative learning experiences that open doors to remarkable career advancements, while enabling alumni to realize the change our world needs,” says Philip Steenkamp, president and vice-chancellor of Royal Roads University. “Royal Roads is an engine for lifelong learning and this new initiative ensures alumni have accessible, best-in-class and cost-effective opportunities for upskilling and reskilling throughout their lives.”

The Lifelong Learning initiative is delivered under the university’s Alumni Advantage Benefits Program as part of a three-year pilot, making it easier and more affordable for alumni to meet their learning goals.

“As a university dedicated to meeting the current labour market needs, we know the value of providing programs and courses that build skills and knowledge that directly apply to the workforce,” says Zoe MacLeod, associate vice-president of Professional and Continuing Studies at Royal Roads University. “With courses designed to be both challenging and engaging, and involving hands-on learning experience, students can learn to solve real-world problems in their chosen field and workplace.”

Eligible courses begin throughout the year with a range of subjects available, from business and leadership to climate and environment, coaching and people development to Truth and Reconciliation.  More information about the new Lifelong Learning program and how to select and register for courses is available online at royalroads.ca\alumnibenefits, along with frequently asked questions about the program.

The pilot is part of the university’s goal to enhance alumni engagement by responding to their needs, offering them meaningful ways to engage and stay connected.
