Climate Week 2024 will run November 18 through 22 and will feature a combination of online and in-person events on topics ranging from regeneration, placemaking, food systems, forest bathing and systemic change for holistic climate action.

There are over 15 events featuring a variety of renowned guest speakers including Maria Clara Parente, director of Regenerar. Participants at the November 6 screening of her film will get the exclusive opportunity to ask Parente questions as she engages in an question and answer session with the audience.

Parente's film is the basis for three workshops taking place through Climate Week. The workshops are hosted by Royal Roads Resilience by Design Lab, Solvable and UVic Faculty of Education. You can register for individual workshops, or the entire series. More details are available on the individual workshop event pages:

Climate Week 2024 will also feature the unveiling of a collaborative community art project that began during 2023's Climate Week. Artist and educator Bruno de Oliveira Jayme held workshops inviting participants to hand-paint a tile reflecting their hopes, fears and ideas for a better world. The over 700 contributions were then pieced together by de Oliveira Jayme to create the final piece.  The artwork will be unveiled November 18, followed by an art-based workshop facilitated by Ali Blythe. Register for your spot.

Full Event Roster is available on the RRU Climate Week 2024 webpage. We look forward to seeing you there!
