Celebrating Royal Roads' Spring 2026 Convocation
On June 5, Canada’s university for changemakers will hold its 58th convocation ceremonies, as 778 graduates cross the stage at the Dogwood Auditorium, cheered on by their family and friends.
Four ceremonies will be held throughout the day at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. with a livestream option available for those unable to attend in person. Photos and video from the ceremonies and grad events will be shared on our Insta, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, BlueSky and more — follow RRU to find convocation week highlights.
“Our graduates leave Royal Roads with the capacity to envision a better future, and the determination to build it,” says Royal Roads University President and Vice-Chancellor Philip Steenkamp. “They have the courage to take risks and embrace change, the creativity to find opportunity in uncertainty, and the compassion to foster belonging in their communities. RRU graduates are poised to transform the world.”
“I am both honoured and profoundly grateful to be addressing the graduates at this inspiring celebration of achievement,” says Lori Wanamaker, chair of RRU’s Board of Governors, who will be officially installed as chancellor at the Spring 2026 Convocation ceremonies. “Convocation marks not only the culmination of our graduates’ hard work, but the beginning of their journey as changemakers.”
