Alumni of the former Master of Arts in Tourism and Hospitality Management program created this award to honour Melody Andersson, a highly regarded employee in the School of Tourism and Hospitality. This award reflects her selfless focus on helping others, coupled with her positive approach to life and the work she did for students. She is remembered as loyal and giving, always happy and willing to help and very devoted to family.
The award assists students who have completed one year of the Master of Arts in Tourism Management program, and who best describe their plan to use tourism to inspire positive change in a community, but have a demonstrated financial need.
