Managing a Tourism Organization During COVID 19: New Cases for Tourism Education

Dr. Wilson-Mah was granted Internal Grant for Research funds for research on the tourism organizations’ response the COVID-19 pandemic and to reflect new ways of thinking and leading.

The global pandemic and the response to the health crisis have caused disruption to economic growth and an unprecedented challenge for the tourism sector (Tourism Economics, March 2020). COVID-19 has affected tourism in profound ways. This research has a particular focus on identifying pivotal or significant management decisions made in tourism businesses during COVID-19. The outcome of the research are two new cases that reflect new ways of thinking and leading in tourism organizations and the related decisions tourism professionals have made in their organizations and enterprises since March 2020.
