Lindsay Tiemer is running for the position of Graduate Student Representative on the Royal Roads University 2025/26 Board of Governors. She is seeking the support of her fellow students because she believes in the power of student voice, collaborative leadership, and shaping academic decisions that reflect shared values and lived experiences.

As a current student in the Master of Arts in Leadership program and a long-time professional in higher education in British Columbia, Lindsay brings both insider knowledge of academic systems and a deep commitment to inclusive, student-centered governance. In her professional role as an Associate Registrar at a BC college, she leads strategic initiatives that support student success, equity, and institutional transformation. With over 20 years of experience working within BC’s post-secondary system, she has developed a strong ability to navigate its complexities and effect meaningful change. More importantly, she is known for her ability to listen with empathy and understanding.

If elected, Lindsay will serve as a strong, thoughtful, and accessible advocate for graduate students. She is committed to bringing student concerns, ideas, and aspirations to the Board of Governors, ensuring that graduate student perspectives are represented at the highest levels of university leadership. Lindsay will champion key priorities for graduate students, including financial sustainability, academic innovation, and inclusive learning environments.
