Interdisciplinary and applied theory and methods for doctoral research

Dr. Bernard received Research and Professional Development funds to present two papers at conferences on applied doctoral research methodology and on interdisciplinary research.

The need for change in doctoral programs is increasingly recognized both nationally and internationally. Two papers are being presented at The International Institute of Social and Economic Sciences Conference. The first paper is on applied doctoral research methodology and theory at the conference hosted in Lisbon at the end of September and a paper on interdisciplinary research is presented at its sister conference in Istanbul a few days later. Participants have been encouraged to attend both.
