Join us on September 13th at 9:00 am for an incredible opportunity to connect with awesome panelists from both big-name companies and innovative startups. They're all set to share some insider wisdom about unique career paths, real-world know-how, and those all-important job skills you won't wanna miss.

We are pleased to welcome:

*Trisha Hicke from The District of Saanich. Since 2019, the District has been a climate action leader, declaring a climate emergency, shortly followed by the approval of an ambitious and award-winning Climate Plan. The Sustainability Division leads this work, and they have spent the last four years actively and collaboratively implementing the Plan and monitoring progress. The District has exciting opportunities available in Sustainability Planning and other departments.

*Jarret Klim, project manager at the Synergy Foundation, will discuss various opportunities for entrepreneurs to fill the gaps in the circular economy, explain how he works with hundreds of green businesses on Vancouver Island, and present what Project Zero is. Jarret aims to find the sweet spot between environmental sustainability and economic efficiency, and his experience can benefit many students.

*Meghan Mcdonald is the Founder of Salt Legacy. She formally studied Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology while contributing to multiple marine conservation initiatives on and under the water. Her team takes pride in giving materials a second life (such as upcycled sailcloth) while educating people on the importance of preserving our forests and oceans. She launched her business because she" wanted to create a project connecting her interests and passions. Sailing, the ocean, species conservation, and more sustainable alternatives are important to her."

You won't just be sitting back and listening – this is your chance to dive into the conversation and mingle with fellow students. Your active participation could pave the way for internships and new horizons.
