Join us May 28, 2024, from 10 to 11 a.m. to gain a deeper understanding of students' experiences, particularly those with (in)visible disabilities.
Assist. Prof. Alfiya Battalova and Aleksandra Ković-Bodiroža, Accessibility Services access advisor, will present the preliminary findings of their project, (In)visible Journeys: Experiences of Students and Alumni with Accessibility needs. Two students will also share their personal experiences during the event.
The project is funded by Allan Cahoon Global Advancement and Diversity Fund to enhance accessibility for students with (in)visible disabilities in post-secondary education more broadly and specifically at Royal Roads.
The event, open to RRU students, staff and faculty, is in support of National AccessAbility Week, which happens May 26 to June 1, 2024. National AccessAbility Week is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions of our citizens with disabilities and promote accessibility and inclusion.
