Pathways to Cognitive Wellness is a unique, co‑designed dementia‑risk reduction pathway that combines online transformational education, lifestyle medicine principles, brain‑health and dementia‑prevention science with Indigenous wisdom and nature‑based ceremony.

With CABHI Ignite and RRU New Ways funding, a multidiscipline partnership team, led by Leadership Studies faculty Dr, Kathy Bishop, associate professor and principal investigator and Wendy Young, senior researcher/coordinator, along with Traditional Knowledge Keeper, Kim Haxton,  Dr. Jasdeep Saluja, Chief Medical Officer, Aroga Lifestyle Medicine Clinic, and Dr. Alexandre Henri-Bhargava, Neurologist, UBC and Island Health,  a co-designed curriculum is now complete, and Pathways is preparing to move into proof-of-concept testing and, potentially, a future definitive trial.

Learn more about the co-designed curriculum at this information session, where those involved in the project will present their findings, what’s coming next for Pathways, and answer questions from participants.
