The next episode of the Sport, Leadership, and Social Change webinar is part of Royal Roads University's upcoming Ethical Communication Conference. This session, Inclusivity, Equity, and Diversity In and Through Sport is on February 23 from 12-1:30 p.m. (PST).

Professor Dr. Jennifer Walinga will be joined by leaders in the area of equity and inclusivity in sport including Guylaine Demers, president of Egale Action and one of the co-directors of the Canadian Research Center on gender and equity in sport E-Alliance, Andrew Paris, coaching lead, equity, diversity, inclusion and mentorship Canadian Sport Center Atlantic, Andrea Carey, founder and chief inclusion officer for Inclusion Incorporated and Kubet Weston, Olympian, physiotherapist and diversity in sport advocate.

In this session, we reflect on the ethical responsibilities we have as sport leaders to make our environments more inclusive and equitable. As part of the Ethical Communication Conference, we will be particularly focused on the messaging – through our words, actions, and artifacts – that we can adopt or change to enhance inclusivity and equity in sport. Our panelists will share the challenges and opportunities we face within the sport system as we strive to build more inclusive and equitable sporting environments in Canada and what it will take to achieve our goals. Panelists will share the initiatives and strategies they are undertaking currently and offer advice on how to make a difference in your sport community.

We encourage you to register even if you are unable to attend. Everyone who registers will receive access to all of the conference sessions and links to the webinar recordings.
