It continues to be a challenging time in our world. Maintaining our health and wellbeing while coping with the demands of life, studies, and a variety of other stressors, is not easy. In acknowledgement of Mental Health Week, we invite students to pause and prioritize their wellbeing. Facilitated by RRU's Counselling & Learning Strategy Team, this workshop will offer some space to explore the impacts of uncertainty, stress and grief. It will also offer strategies to increase your personal resilience in your personal, academic and work life.

This session will offer:

  • Strategies for how to manage stress in healthy ways
  • Tips on how to respond to adversity and failure
  • Strategies to improve physical and mental health
  • Skills to shift negative thought patterns
  • A model for building resilience
  • A discussion on how to cultivate social supports
