Alejandra has over twenty years of experience in education and has dedicated over ten years to Royal Roads University in career development and work-integrated learning experiences. Beyond advising, Alejandra has also worked in hospitality management, training and curriculum development.
Alejandra believes in lifelong learning and community. She holds a Master of Arts in Tourism and Management from Royal Roads University and volunteers with the Professional Development Committee at the Association of Cooperative Education –Work Integrated Learning (ACE-WIL).
She finds joy in guiding students from uncertainty to understanding. She encourages them to see the value of their cultural and professional backgrounds and to use their strengths and passions for effective career exploration. Her approach focuses on helping students overcome challenges like imposter syndrome and develop career strategies informed by labour market research and networking for compelling value propositions.
Alejandra enriches the Career Learning and Development team with her expertise in the evolving nature of career journeys. She values empowering students with adaptable strategies for shaping their careers.
