Advancing research on stakeholder engagement underlying the action research engagement model

Dr. Rowe received an RRU Internal Grant for Research to investigate barriers and facilitators of stakeholder engagement in implementing organizational change.

Dr. Rowe’s research focuses on the specific theoretical and methodological processes of engaging stakeholders as a critical component of action research in organizational change initiatives. Too often organizational change initiatives fail because various critical external and internal stakeholders did not perceive change to be important or were unable to participate in meaningful ways. This research will examine the role of various types of stakeholders, barriers or facilitators to engagement and methodological enhancements to the use of action research that facilitates their meaningful and transformational engagement.
