The Certificate in Environmental Practice is a distance-based program offering flexible, relevant, high-quality professional education that allows you to specialize in your chosen sector, with courses designed to develop knowledge and skills identified by employers across the environmental industry.
Benefits of the program include Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) and the Foreign Credential Recognition (FCR); credit equivalency of past academic work; the credentials may be used as a building block to ladder into a university degree; and the ground work for the Canadian Certified Environmental Practitioner (CCEP) designation through CECAB.
The program features common core courses and electives in ten different areas, each of which are linked to the National Occupational Standards for Environmental Employment in Canada.
The Canadian Centre for Environmental Education (CCEE) is a partnership between Royal Roads University and ECO Canada (Environmental Careers Organization)designed to meet the training needs of the expanding labour market in the environmental sector.
