Barb Collombin

Communication & Culture

Barb Collombin has been teaching at Royal Roads since 2012 both online and face to face. Her area of focus is organizational communication, with particular interest in organizational culture and the communication that happens in work environments. She is an active volunteer in the public school system, a mother of three, a basketball coach, a tennis player, a swimmer and a lover of nature and all activities in it.

Experience

Collombin has worked as an English teacher in Japan, a writer, a corporate art consultant in Toronto, a scuba dive shop owner in the Caribbean, and a hotel marketing director. Since moving to Victoria in 1999, Collombin has worked in communications in the not-for-profit and sports sectors. She has been on boards, volunteered and worked for Power To Be, Promotion Plus, B.C. Freestyle Skiing Association, the Canadian Gene Cure Foundation and KidCareCanada.
