School of Communication and Culture Assoc. Prof. David Black spoke with CFAX Radio’s Adam Stirling about the report from the ethics commissioner finding that Prime Minister Trudeau violated conflict of interest rules in the SNC-Lavalin affair.

Here is an excerpt:

The Dion report issued yesterday by the ethics commissioner answered some questions that had been left open-ended.

Until the ethics report, we really didn’t have a dispositive and definitive reading of who was right. Was this simply a use of Michael Wernick’s term “lawful advocacy” or to use Jody Wilson-Raybould’s term, was this “inappropriate pressure”? I think that’s been settled. The issue of who was right – he or she – she is right in this case as far as Dion is concerned and I think Canadians should accept that representation.

The interview was aired on CFAX Radio.
