Calgary Information Session & Learning Symposium
At Royal Roads University, we know everyone has something to share and there’s huge value in open discussions. Our online and on-campus programs create an environment where everyone works together to achieve success.
At RRU, you learn from everyone in your program – not just your instructors.
Take this opportunity to connect with staff, students and alumni. Find out how our blended learning model—online with short on-campus residencies— enables you to get an education without having to put your life on hold.
This general information session covers a broad range of topics – please join us, and bring your questions with you. We’d like to show you how Royal Roads University is Life.Changing.
Following a brief overview of Royal Roads will be a dynamic presentation by Dr. Jennifer Walinga, Professor & Program Head from the School of Communication and Culture titled;
FOSTERING A THRIVING ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE - THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMAN-CENTRED DESIGN, STRUCTURE, AND COMMUNICATION
In order to thrive in organizations, people need to feel connected, purposeful, and supported. A fractured culture leads to disengagement, demoralization, lack of productivity, and huge costs. We need to learn to design our organizations to reflect and honour the purpose and values they serve. The organizational systems, structures, and communications can be designed creatively to support a thriving culture.
Participants will learn the principles of a values-based, human-centred organizational design that fosters cultural alignment, sustainable practice, human engagement, and productivity.
Join us in Calgary on Tuesday, December 4th at The Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel at 6 pm to see our difference in action. Bring a friend and join the conversation!
